Volunteer Educator - Summer Camp Craft Assistance
We are currently in need of adult volunteers to assist with our craft sessions for summer camp. Crafts and instructions will be set out for volunteers to read through. Individuals fulfilling this role can lead the craft for 10 - 20 youth or assist the assigned staff member to the group, depending on your comfort level and experience. Youth will be between ages 5 and 14. There will always be a HC staff member present and involved in this activity. Duties will include:
- Setting Up and Cleaning Up craft materials
- Explaining and demonstrating directions for a craft
- Being self motivated to read directions and share them with others
- Assist campers when needed in their craft tasks
- Make demonstration crafts for future dates.
Training Requirements:
To volunteer with our youth programming, you must meet all of the following criteria. This training is only one requirement for fulfilling this role. Below are the expected requirements for being accepted as a volunteer educator:
- Willingness to work with youth
- Pass a background check yearly
- Complete a virtual or in-person check in with LFHC Staff
- Complete a Volunteer Educator Training
- Continually meet the expectations listed in the Code of Conduct (you will receive this at the training)
- Complete Online Mandated Reporter Training (1 hour online)
What to Know:
- Position typically is indoors, but may be out on the patio (weather dependent).
- Bring your own water bottle.

Volunteer Craft Assistant shifts will be every Wednesday from 9 - 11:30 am or 12:30 - 2:15 pm.

Qualifications Required
- Background Check Must be at least Passed
- DCP/LFHC WI Mandated Reporter Must be Completed
- DCP/LFHC Volunteer Educator Must be Attended Educator Training
