Restoration Workday at Yahara Heights

Help cut invasive brush along trail edges. Volunteers will cut brush with loppers and carry cut brush to piles. The work site is about a 1/4 mile hike from the meeting location.

Cherokee Marsh Natural Resource Area (Caton Ln Entrance):
5129 Caton Ln, Waunakee WI 53597

  • Located at the intersection of Caton Ln and Riverview Dr, just off River Rd.
  • Parking is located along the street

How to Prepare:


What to Know:

  • All tools, materials, and training are provided. 
  • Bring drinking water and snacks if you'd like. 


What to Wear: 

  • Dress for the weather and wear appropriate clothing that you don't mind working in. Old clothing is great for these workdays.
  • Wear sturdy closed toe shoes that will keep your feet and toes warm.
  • Bring work gloves. (We'll have some to borrow for those who don't have.)

Accessibility:

  • Volunteers should be comfortable with walking on uneven terrain.
