Office Assistant at the Heritage Center

Help make our education programs a success! Volunteers will assist staff at the Heritage Center with the following: 

  • Scanning & shredding documents
  • Organizing files
  • Posting events to local website
  • Providing an inventory of education materials
  • Other office activities as assigned
    • Restocking our little free libraries with parks information (next to our building).

Basic computer skills are recommended, but not required. 

What to Know:

What to Bring:

  • All tools and materials required for this position will be supplied. 
  • Bring a refillable water bottle and snacks if you need.

What to Wear:

  • Wear comfortable clothing and shoes. 

Accessibility:

  • Work will be indoors in our office with air conditioning and heat. 
  • Bathrooms are available.
  • Volunteers will have a designated work area and can choose to sit or stand.

Location:

Heritage Center - 3101 Lake Farm Rd, Madison, WI 53711

  • Car parking is readily available.
  • Bike parking is available. The HC is directly off of the Capital City Bike Trail.
