Garlic Mustard Pulling at Yahara Heights

Help make room for wildflowers by pulling invasive garlic mustard at Cherokee Marsh. No experience needed. Garlic mustard pulling is a great way to get out and spend time in the woods while also helping the native wildflowers, grasses, and sedges thrive. We'll be pulling garlic mustard plants by hand or using dandelion digger tools. The work site is about a .2 mile walk from the meeting location.

  • Located at the intersection of Caton Ln and Riverview Dr, just off River Rd.
  • Parking is located along the street

How to Prepare:


What to Know:

  • All tools, materials, and training are provided. 
  • Bring drinking water and snacks if you'd like. 
  • We'll cancel if raining steadily or threat of thunderstorms (RSVP to be informed of cancelation).


What to Wear: 

  • Dress for the weather, wear closed-toe footwear. 
  • Work gloves optional.

Accessibility:

  • We'll be working off trail, on uneven ground with down wood.
