We have a thriving volunteer program that continues to grow, which is amazing! As we grow, we need to be able to streamline our systems. We need all volunteers to have active accounts in MyImpact and to know how to use those for the bare minimum functions. Therefor we are offering regular virtual and in-person trainings to support people to use the software.
Who:
The virtual training sessions are open to any active volunteer with Dane County Parks who has some level of technological skill and is comfortable having 2 windows open - Zoom and MyImpact - and moving between the two in order to participate fully.
What to know:
This training is designed to be a full overview of all the most basic and necessary functions of DCP’s new volunteer portal (MyImpact) for the average volunteer. We will demonstrate how to navigate through the portal including how to view and sign up for shifts, how to log independent hours, and how to update your personal information. We will likely not get into more advanced functions of MyImpact, though there will be time for additional questions at the end. This is a participatory training! We will expect all participants to have their camera ON and to be following along on their own device. If you are someone who would benefit from a training in person due to lack of comfort with technology, consider attending our next in-person training.
