Environmental Fun Fair: Ice Cream Scooper

We are again hosting our Environmental Fun Fair, which is a free fun afternoon full of hands-on activities centered around nature, recreation, and science. This is an inclusive event appropriate for all ages and abilities. Last year we had several hundred attendees; this year we are looking for volunteers to help with a variety of roles to make this day a huge success! We will sell Chocolate Shoppe ice cream to attendees. The revenue received from ice cream sales will be used to support our environmental education programs. 

Role Description:  

Volunteers will be stationed inside in our kitchen area scooping ice cream or grabbing popsicles from the freezer. You will be paired with one of our staff members that will be handling the payments and giving you the orders. Volunteers must be 18+ to work this role.

How to Prepare: 

What to Bring:

• Bring a water bottle (a filling station is available).
• Snacks if you need them.
• Anything else you need to be comfortable for this shift.

What to Wear: 

• Wear clothing appropriate for the weather.
• Wear appropriate, closed-toe shoes.  

Accessibility: 

• There will be bathroom access and a water fountain.

Please note, it is not possible for all activities to be modified.
