YV4C Conservation Workday

Are you a young adult between the ages of 14 - 18 and interested in the outdoors? Come join Youth Volunteers for Conservation (YV4C) Program and explore Dane County Parks while contributing to ecological restoration and habitat conservation here in Southern Wisconsin!

Location: 

These workdays vary with location.

• Saturday January 11th - Seed Packet Filling/Brick Painting - Lussier Family Heritage Center (3101 Lake Farm Rd, Madison, WI 53711)
• CANCELLED - Saturday February 15th - Native Seed Spreading - Lake View Hill (1202 Northport Dr, Madison, WI 53704)
• Saturday March 15th - Brush Cutting - Lake Farm County Park, Meet at Lussier Family Heritage Center (3101 Lake Farm Rd, Madison, WI 53711)
• Saturday April 12th - Prescribed Burn Walk n' Talk - Meet at Lussier Family Heritage Center (3101 Lake Farm Rd, Madison, WI 53711)
• Saturday May 10th - Invasive Species Removal - Location TBD
• Saturday June 7th - Reforestation on the Capitol City Trail - Lussier Family Heritage Center (3101 Lake Farm Rd, Madison, WI 53711)
  
  

How to Prepare: 

What to Know:

• In case of cancellation, a notification will be made via email and/or phone to participants who have signed up.
• Participants should be comfortable with walking on uneven terrain. 
• No experience is needed. All tools and training provided.

What to Wear & Bring:

• Participants should dress for the weather.
