Restoration Workdays at Lower Mud Lake
Join the Friends of Lower Mud Lake as they continue to restore oak savanna, prairie, and oak woodland. Activity will vary depending on what needs to be done, but may involve invasive weed removal or invasive tree and brush removal.
- Sawyers and haulers will be needed as soon as oak wilt season has passed in late summer. Sawyers should bring their own equipment and safety gear. Fuel and chain lubricant provided.
- Haulers remove downed brush and stack in piles to be burned during the winter months. Helmets, gloves, equipment provided. No experience needed.
