Ecological Restoration: Native Seed Program - Prairie Seeding Workdays

Winter Prairie Seeding Workdays

After many hours of seed collecting last summer and fall, followed by many more hours spent seed processing and weighing earlier this winter, it’s finally time to get all that seed on the ground! Join us to help plant a new prairie by hand casting seed: we’ll provide bags of seed for a given species, you’ll spread the seed across the site in areas that species is likely to grow – no prior experience is needed, all training will be provided.
