Dog Walking at Pack Hikes
Pack walks take place in Griffith Park on most 2nd and 4th Saturdays of the month at 8a. We alternate routes between a 3.5 mile hike to the helipad or a shorter flat walk. All dogs are on leash and there is one dog per handler, as well as hands free hikers to assist the group.
Our pack walks are open to the community. We love to send as many of our foster dogs as we can so they have an opportunity for a safe and structured way to be around dogs and people and get some exercise. We also use this opportunity for foster dogs to meet potential adopters.
Volunteers are needed to transport dogs from their foster homes or from our Jefferson Park facility and take them on the hike!
