Dog Care at our Jefferson Park Center

Our Jefferson Park Pet Resource Center is our facility and hub for operations. While most of our dogs are in foster homes, we have a rotating crew of dogs who are crashing in the kennels. Many of these dogs are freshly out of the shelter and others are in between foster homes.

Each day, we have two dog care shifts at the center. One is in the morning from about 8:30-11a, and the evening shift is from 5-7:30p. A typical shift involves walking dogs or do enrichment and training in one of our play yards. You will also assist with cleaning kennels, washing dog dishes, and assisting with other chores.

Volunteering at "JP" is a great way to meet lots of dogs, make new friends, and best of all, there are opportunities to help every day of the week!
