Legacy Crafts

Matthews House has volunteers who use their sewing, knitting, crocheting, and other creative skills to assist with legacy projects for the families of clients.  Items that are very popular include but are not limited to; making comfort bears or pillows from loved ones' clothing,  crocheting slippers to keep clients' feet warm, and small hearts for clients to hold in clenched hands.    Some of these items are featured in our Matthews House Shop and will help in raising funds to keep our hospice free to the community.

Volunteers create these items in their own time, using their skills and creative abilities to make items that will provide comfort, memories, and a legacy of loved ones for the families of clients.
