Learn to Skate Program Volunteer

Learn to Skate Program Volunteers assist in providing technical and fun instruction to participants ages 3 to 12 as they develop basic ice skating skills in a fun and supportive environment. Volunteers help to increase the amount of attention we can pay to each child, improving the quality of programs and building children’s connections to their community.
Requirements:
- 14 years of age or older and in Grade 9 or above
- Able to skate at an intermediate level: forwards and backwards with good balance and control, and to make a controlled stop.
- Previous experience working with children an asset
- Previous experience with ice sports an asset
- Fluent in spoken English (fluency in a second language is an asset)
