Kitchen - Dishwasher - Lunch Shift

Shift Availability: Lunch (12:30 PM - 3:00 PM)
Best Practice is to have 2+ people working together on the dish machine. at least one will scrape, rinse and load the machine and the other will take the clean dishes, stack and put them away. In this role you may be asked to perform either or both functions.
Position Summary:
You will play a crucial role in the restaurant. Working in the kitchen at our dish machine, you ensure that the machine is washing dishes properly, loaded properly and that the items are returned to the dining room to be put away or you will put them away in the kitchen.
Key Responsibilities:
- Help keep the kitchen clean by loading, running and emptying the dishwasher.
- Help clean the pots and pans
- Putting the dishes/pots and pans away
Food Service: Working safely near the food, ensuring that the dish machine is kept to the proper temperature, working with the head cook to ensure that the chemicals used are the right calibration and that the dishes are cleaned quickly and returned to the location for putting them away.
Hygiene and Safety: Adhere to strict hygiene standards by wearing an apron, hair net or hat, and gloves when in the kitchen. Maintain a clean and organized work area. It is important to always wash your hands between touching a dirty dish and clean dishes, working in a team of two will be more efficient and expedite the dishwashing
Safety Awareness: Never put yourself in harm's way; report any safety or security concerns to the dining room supervisor on duty.
Shift Commitment: Attend scheduled shifts punctually and reliably; if unable to make a shift, communicate as soon as possible to allow time for finding a replacement.

- Volunteer Waiver has been Signed and uploaded Must be at least Yes
- Volunteer Policy Read and Accepted Must be Yes
- Volunteer and Employee Training / Orientation Must be Completed the mandatory volunteer training
