Our ReStore volunteers greet customers, maintain store cleanliness, and arrange merchandise, all in an effort to raise funds to construct homes.

Committees are vital to the success of Habitat Greater Ottawa and we rely heavily on the Board of Directors and Committees to fulfill our mandate. Volunteers on Habitat Greater Ottawa Committees are involved with fundraising, finance, land acquisition or family selection and partnering, depending on the talents they are willing to offer. Most committees meet once per month.
We post early spring for our Board of Directors and we have openings throughout the year for various committees. If you are interested in hearing about upcoming committee opportunities, please sign up here and we will notify you when we have a new opportunity to offer.
Are you interested in volunteering at one of our community events?
We have opportunities throughout the year to participate in the Ottawa Home Shows at the EY Centre (winter, spring, and fall) or in community fundraising events such as Gracefest (September), Reno Tour (October), and our ReStore Pop-Up Sales.
Are you detail-oriented with excellent computer skills?
If yes, come join our Habitat Greater Ottawa office admin team! We are looking for a volunteer to help out with various projects: research, editing documents, compiling data and data entry. Knowledge of Raiser's Edge is an asset.
Do you have photography skills and a talent for engaging volunteers in fun group shots?
Our photography shift is Monday to Friday, 10:00 am - 11:00 am and we are looking for photographers who are available once a week during our build season
