San Diego County Parks Society - Board Member

Organization Description

The San Diego County Parks Society (SDCPS) is seeking a few new board members. Established in 1980, our mission is to support the County of San Diego Department of Parks and Recreation's goals, activities, and programs, and to preserve and enhance cultural, community, and natural resources through charitable contributions. Donations to the San Diego County Parks Society fund facility upgrades, environmental education programs, summer camps, special events, cultural festivals, habitat preservation, trail restoration, and more.

Role Description

This is a volunteer position requiring in person attendance at monthly board meetings. Board meetings alternate between 2nd Thursdays taking place at the County of San Diego Department of Parks and Recreation and 2nd Saturdays at County of San Diego parks. The volunteer commitment is around 5 hours per month. We would appreciate a one year commitment to our board.
