Facilities Committee
We are seeking a dedicated group of volunteers to form a Facilities Committee that will help with the ongoing maintenance and upkeep of the barn and property. The goal of this committee is to take ownership of regular projects and reduce the time our Executive Director spends on maintenance—freeing them up to focus on outreach, development, and programming.
Ongoing Maintenance
- Routine service of equipment (weed eater, mower, ranger, etc.)
- Transporting equipment for repairs as needed (trailer available)
- Fence upkeep: repairing posts, downed fencing, and electric fence functionality
- Regular watering of trees, flowers, and plants
- Seasonal set-up and take-down of shade shelter tarps
- General property cleanup: mowing, weed eating, and manure spreading
- Helping address drainage issues
- Prairie dog mitigation as needed
Handyman Help
- Occasional plumbing or electrical repairs (leaky sinks, hose fittings, etc.)
- Welding skills would be a bonus!
