Horticultural Programming - Outdoor Horticultural Volunteer at Yanney Park
We are looking for beginner and experienced gardeners to help keep the Gardens and Yanney Heritage Park beautiful!!!
Outdoor Horticulture Volunteers will learn new gardening techniques and help maintain a variety of plants in The Gardens and throughout the rest of Yanney Park. Other activities may include watering, planting, deadheading, trimming, weeding, creating display items, or other special projects.
Desirable skills of volunteer:
- Basic gardening experience is a plus but not required; training specific to each garden is provided.
- Detail-oriented
- Ability to follow instructions
- Able to walk on uneven surfaces and lift 20 lbs. or less
Volunteers can sign up throughout the growing season.
Group or individual volunteer opportunities are available.
Qualifications Required
- Background Check Must be Passed
- Volunteer Level Must be at least I. Beginner
- Completed Orientation Must be Completed Orientation
