Volunteers share their time and efforts to support staff by providing distraction, emotional support and direction to their clients.  The volunteer supplies that extra pair of “helping hands” that add to the trained services of LTC staff, working together to enhance the patients experience during their stay.

This position gives high school students the opportunity to volunteer their time and efforts and experience and learn about continuing care and the careers available.  It is a great recruitment tool.  It will assist the staff with general tasks deemed appropriate for youth and volunteers.  Duties such as restocking carts (Robes, slippers, toiletries, etc), delivering water and snacks to patients, visiting and playing cards/games, shodowvoxing nursing staff.
