Surveys and Research - WFR Week - Monarch Larva Monitoring Project (MLMP)
Description:
Community scientists will walk designated areas of Herff Farm to count milkweed plants and search for monarch eggs and larvae. This hands-on survey contributes valuable data to monarch conservation efforts.
Training is provided on-site, and no prior experience is necessary.
Requirements:

Must be able to walk unaided on uneven terrain

Must be able to tolerate exposure to inclement weather (hot, cold, windy, etc.)

Sign-up is required to participate

Ability to work as part of a small field team
Logistics:

Team meets at Herff Farm, at the south end of the parking lot

Survey group proceeds to the field site on foot.
Recommended Attire:
