Volunteering With the Cibolo Center for Conservation

The Winter Prairie Bird Surveys will take place on the Cibolo Preserve, a property normally closed to the public.

Attendance at the December 13 Winter Prairie Bird Workshop is required for new surveyors. Those who have volunteered to help with Prairie Bird surveys in previous years can also sign up.

The surveys will begin at 8:45am and last 2.5 to 3 hours. We will meet at the Cibolo Nature Center Pavilion on the days indicated below. 

Survey dates: 

Dec. 18th (Rain date: Dec. 23rd) 

Jan. 15st (Rain date: Jan. 29th) 

Feb. 19th (Rain date: Feb. 24th) 

What to Bring:

• Binoculars
• Field gear (long pants, sturdy shoes, a hat, water and sun protection)
