Volunteer Opportunity: Pollinator Garden Workday (TMN Approved)
Location: Herff Farm, 33 Herff Road
Meeting Point: Barn building (picnic tables under the covered area)
Schedule: 3rd Thursday of the month
Time Commitment: 9:00 - 11:00 a.m.
Description:
Join us at Herff Farm for a hands-on Pollinator Garden Workday! Volunteers will assist with maintaining and enhancing our pollinator habitats, supporting native plants that provide critical resources for bees, butterflies, and other pollinators. This opportunity is suitable for Texas Master Naturalist volunteer service hours.
Activities May Include:

Weeding and garden bed maintenance
- Removal of invasive species

Planting native pollinator species

Mulching and soil care

Watering and general garden upkeep
What to Expect:

Being outside for prolonged periods of time

Bending, standing, and crouching
-
Lifting up to 50 lbs

Volunteer shifts are rain or shine; tasks may change depending on weather

Getting to Herff Farm:

Enter at 33 Herff Road through the main gate

Turn right after entering

Park where convenient

Enter the barn building and meet the Garden Manager at the picnic tables under the covered area
