Woodland Trail Incline Repair

Help restore safe access by stabilizing an eroded section of trail.

Location: Cibolo Nature Center - 140 City Park Rd, Boerne, Tx
Schedule: 8:00 - 11:30 / 12:30 - 3:00 

Description:

Join us in repairing a heavily eroded section of the Woodland Trail. This area has experienced significant erosion and rill formation, making it unsafe for both hikers and maintenance vehicles.

This project focuses on restoring the trail surface, improving drainage, and stabilizing the incline to ensure safe and sustainable access.

Volunteer Activities May Include:

• Assisting with re-grading the trail surface
• Installing geotextile fabric and geocell stabilization systems
• Filling, leveling, and compacting the trail tread
• Constructing drainage features to redirect water away from the trail

Requirements & Expectations:

• Ability to perform physical, outdoor work
• Willingness to work on uneven terrain and inclines
• Comfort using hand tools and following instructions

These improvements will stabilize the trail, reduce erosion, and restore safe access for both pedestrians and maintenance vehicles.
