Volunteering With the Cibolo Center for Conservation

As a Tour Guide for our Venue Open House at the Cibolo Center for Conservation & Herff Farm, you will play a vital role in showcasing our beautiful venue to visitors  looking to celebrate their special day. Your enthusiasm and knowledge will help create an inviting atmosphere, guiding potential clients through our picturesque grounds and facilities.

Open House Details:

• Meeting Place: Check in at the Farmers Market Tent - 33 Herff Road, enter Main gate, turn left, park where convenient near the market
• Attire: Wear comfortable weather appropriate nice casual clothing.
• What to bring - water, snack, book to read/activity during slow times.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct Tours: Lead guests on tours of the Nature Center, Gathering Hall or the Historic Herff Home highlighting key features and available spaces for wedding ceremonies and receptions during our Open House.
• Provide Information: Share details about our facilities, services, and the unique aspects of hosting a wedding at the nature center.
• Answer Questions: Address any inquiries from couples providing a positive experience.
• Promote Nature Center Values: Communicate the mission of The Cibolo and its commitment to conservation and community engagement.
• Gather Feedback: Encourage couples to share their thoughts and preferences, helping us improve our services.

Qualifications:

• Strong Communication Skills: Ability to engage with diverse audiences and convey information clearly.
• Friendly and Approachable Demeanor: Create a welcoming atmosphere for couples and their families.
• Basic Knowledge of the Venue: Familiarity with the nature center’s layout and
