Field Trip Volunteer Description

We are seeking enthusiastic volunteers to assist with our upcoming Field Trips this Spring. This exciting and educational experience will include hands-on activities that explore wildlife and environmental science. Volunteers will help guide small groups of students through various activities, ensuring safety and engagement throughout the day.

Location: Cibolo Nature Center, 140 City Park Rd.
School & Grade Level: Fisher Elementary School - 80 - 3rd grade students

Activities: Wetlands, organisms & ecosystems

Volunteer Responsibilities:

• Assist in guiding small groups of students through each activity.
• Provide support during outdoor activities and help manage student behavior.
• Ensure safety protocols are followed.
• Engage students by answering questions and facilitating discussions.
• Help set up and clean up materials for each activity.

Requirements:

• A love for working with children and a passion for nature and science.
• Comfortable being outdoors and walking with the students on a hike.
• Completed and approved background - Background Check Form
