Shift Details – Exotic Plant Removal
Description:
The exotic plant removal team is only scheduled during the Spring Wildlife Field Research events. This team focuses on removing exotic invasive species and, in some cases, opportunistic native plants that are encroaching into areas where they don't belong, disrupting the natural balance of the ecosystem.
Bring loppers if you have them. Some tools will be provided, but having your own is helpful.
Requirements:

Must be able to walk over rough terrain while carrying equipment

Physically able to participate in manual plant removal tasks

Comfortable working outdoors with potential for insect bites

Follow safety guidance from team leaders
Recommended Attire & Gear:

Field-appropriate clothing (long sleeves and pants recommended)

Sturdy boots or closed-toe shoes

Gloves and hat

Insect repellent

Personal loppers or hand tools (if available)
