Small Animal Shelter REMOTE Operations / Mini Drill
Come learn how to set up a REMOTE Small Animal Shelter. Volunteers will then rotate through the various stations involved in Small Animal Sheltering. You will have hands-on learning to prepare you for what happens when you are activated. This training will include a mini drill to better prepare you for the emergency processes / protocols and working the different areas at the Small Animal Shelter.
 
Important Notes: 
  • Please come dressed in standard NVADG uniform - Closed toed shoes, long pants, NVADG shirt, and Badge
  • Please bring your own chair and plenty of water. There will be a 50 minute lunch break so bring your own or there are a few eateries in the area.

8:30 am. Shelter Set Up
9:00 am. Small Animal Shelter Ops Rotations
•        Shelter Overview
•        Dogs
•        Cats
•        Public/EVAC Intake
•        Animal Documentation
12:00 pm. Lunch
12:55 pm. Briefing on Mini Drill & assignments 
1:10 pm. Mini Drill 
2:40 pm. Demobilization (last rotation group cleans up that area) 
3:20 pm. Debrief & Questions & ICS 214 & Mileage Claim Form
