NVADG- 2026 Training - NVADG - 04-01-26 Shelter Intake 3 (Focus: EVAC Intake)
Shelter Intake 3 (Focus: EVAC Intake)
Intake plays one of the most important roles in NVADG's operations during a disaster. Come join us to learn the steps to intake animals into a shelter during a disaster.
This training will focus on the process of EVAC Intake which involves collecting animal/owner information from an EVAC member and verifying or inputting information into Shelterly. Once the paperwork has been completed, then transferring animals into our shelters in an expedient manner to get EVAC back out in the field.
We will review and practice EVAC Field Assignment Owned and OunID along with EVAC Field Assignment/RAS Owned and OunID, as well as EVAC RAS OunID.
Note there are many changes to Shelterly and Intake strives to improve our processes, so please be sure to join us to hone your skills and stay updated. All volunteers are welcome and Shelter Volunteers are strongly encouraged to attend.
