At The Joy Bus, volunteers are the heart of our mission. Our Meal Delivery Volunteers turn the vision of providing “More than a Meal” into reality for people living with cancer.

Every delivery is more than food—it’s connection, comfort, and a reminder that someone cares. A brief visit can lift spirits and bring hope during life’s hardest moments.

Deliveries happen Wednesday and Thursday mornings across the Valley. This category includes:

  • Meal Delivery Drivers – Pick up meals, follow assigned routes, and deliver with care and consistency, often becoming a trusted part of a person living with cancer’s weekly routine.

  • Meal Delivery Assistants – Support the full execution of meal service by staging bags, prepping supplies, and assisting during dispatch so every route is ready to go. Ensure each bag is packed correctly, efficiently, and in line with program standards so each person receives consistent, safe, and delicious meals.

All volunteers complete Joy Bus Orientation, Driver Training, and a background check.
