The Joy Bus Kitchen: The Heartbeat Behind the Scenes - Back of House - Prep Cooks

Your goal is to support the kitchen team in preparing high-quality, nourishing meals for our clients and diners. Arrive on time, wearing closed-toed shoes, with your hair pulled back, and be ready to put on a hairnet and apron provided on-site. Check in with the kitchen lead to receive your station assignment and get oriented for the day. Throughout your shift, you may assist with chopping vegetables, assembling meals, portioning ingredients, washing dishes, and sanitizing work areas. Follow recipes and food safety standards closely, keeping your station clean and organized at all times. At the end of your shift, complete any assigned cleanup tasks, return tools to their proper place, and check out with the lead to ensure the kitchen is fully ready for the next team.

Qualifications Required

  • TJB Orientation Must be Completed
  • Valid Arizona Food Handlers Card Must be Completed
