Doggie Dreams Field Trip
Functions & Organizational Impact:
- Assist the kennel in taking dogs out of the shelter on short field trips.
- Only animals pre-approved by shelter staff.
- Increase the shelter animal’s mental stimulation and helps socialize the dogs in different environments.
Time Commitment & Location:
- PAC start from to various locations throughout St Charles County.
- 2-hour shifts, 1-2 days a week.
Goals:
- Assist with social enrichment with the dogs
Core Responsibilities:
- You’ll oversee the dog while
- Ensure the dog does not run away.
- How to safely transport dogs.
- To help get the dog adopted.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Able to walk and transport dogs in your car.
- Must be able to follow specific instructions.
- Must be able to lift 30 pounds at least.
- No children allowed on field trips.
- Double leashed with harness and County tag.
- Basic handling of leashing a dog, walking dogs and getting them out of the kennel.
