Foster Coordinator
Foster coordinator will oversea the timely placement of animals into foster care. This position will be part of a lifesaving team.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASK
- In conjunction with the Lifesaving Team, implement foster care program work plans, goals, and objectives.
- Identify shelter animals for foster care program and coordinate their ongoing care disposition with foster care providers.
- Report tom Lifesaving Programs Coordinator and Shelter Operations Manger weekly to measure, analyze, and implement strategies to meet current and future needs for our foster care program.
- Recruit, qualify and orient foster care providers in conjunction with volunteer coordinator.
- Accurately maintain all required records in the shelter's database in a timely manner.
- Ensure compliance of program participates with all policies and laws and in support of the shelter's mission and goals.
- Contribute to the program and services that support lifesaving initiatives including but not limited to the foster to adopt program.
- Act as a resource for emails, phone calls and visitors regarding foster care providers.
- Maintain all animals information in Chameleon and other required paperwork in a way that ensures all information is communicated appropriately to our foster base.
- With coordination from Shelter Operations Manager and the Lifesaving Programs Coordinator, implement programs and marketing strategies that increase the number of animals placed into foster care.
- Manage on-call foster care emergencies after hour calls.
