Auxiliary to LGH
The auxiliary to Lions Gate Hospital offers various services for volunteers to assist staff, patients and visitors. A variety of time schedules are available including weekends, evenings and daytime opportunities.
LGH Hospice & Palliative Care
Volunteers provide companionship, practical help and support to patients and their families within the palliative care unit and the North Shore Hospice. A long-term commitment and training program are required.
Oncology
Volunteers assist staff in providing a friendly welcome and ongoing support to chemotherapy patients and their familities.
Screeners/Greeters
During COVID-19, volunteers have been recruited to greet and screen people at entrances to various North Shore VCH facilities.
