Volunteers are needed in these areas

Bar

Become one of our Bar Flies Volunteers!

Bar Volunteers:

  • restock bar fridges and eskies
  • are physically able to lift and move a full carton a drinks
  • serve customers at the bar (NOTE: A current RSA certification is mandatory ONLY for serving staff)

Campground

Campground Volunteers love working outdoors!

Campground Volunteers:

  • assist with managing the campground
  • direct members to their campsite
  • assist with waste disposal in the campground

Check-In Office

Become a front line volunteer at Event Check-In!

Event Check-In Volunteers:

  • assist members to check-in
  • provide directions to members
  • distribute pre-ordered Commemorative Merchandise
  • monitor Check-in Office supplies & facilities

Decorations

Manufacture & erection of decorations at ANY function or sub-event

Entertainers & Red Faces

Get backstage and volunteer behind the scenes!

Typical jobs for Entertainment volunteers include:

  • Assisting Red Faces acts and entertainers with set-up 
  • Assisting with running the event entertainment program 

First Aid & Welfare Office

First Aid and Welfare Volunteers care...

First Aid & Welfare Volunteers:

  • provide a basic first aid service at the main site and sub-events (i.e. Grand Parade, Official dinners etc.)
  • do not provide a triage service!
  • conduct regular checks on disabled and medically compromised rally goers

NOTEFirst Aid volunteers should hold a current*, nationally recognised Statement of Attainment from a registered training organisation.

*  NSW Legislation requires CPR renewal annually and basic first aid training three yearly (ref: Safework NSW)

 

Gear Shop

Volunteering in the Ulysses Club Gear Shop

 Gear Shop Volunteers:

  • setup Ulysses Club merchandise for display
  • serve members in the Gear Shop
  • receipt cash and card payments

Grand Parade

Get your motor running at the Grand Parade

Grand Parade Volunteers:

  • work on Saturday morning only!
  • assist with line marking and setting up witches caps
  • direct riders to allocated areas at the Grand Parade assembly and finishing points

Note: Traffic Control on the road is managed by a professional external organisation

Meetings

Meetings

Meetings Volunteers:

  • assist with meeting setup (stage, chairs etc.)
  • help check in meeting attendees
  • monitor catering consumables (tea, coffee, milk etc.)
  • run microphones to speakers fom the audience

Organised Rides

Wannabe a Ride Leader or Tail End Charlie?

Organised Rides Volunteers:

  • provide ride briefings
  • call ahead to lunch/smoko venues to advise final numbers before departure
  • herd cats (Sorry.... Try to keep the ride group together!)

Rally HQ & Event Merchandise

Become a part of our frontline team!

Rally HQ Volunteers:

  • provide general information & directions to rally goers
  • answer enquiries
  • do clerical work
  • run errands

 

Signage

Practise your erection skills!

Signage Volunteers:

  • Assist with the erection of temporary signs around the rally site and (sometimes) on public thoroughfares
  • Assist with printing and laminating temporary signs
  • Assist with sorting and distributing existing signs

Site Access Control

Site Access Control

Site Access Control Volunteers:

  • check registered rally goers entry to the site
  • assist with random checks of gate and fence integrity
  • control access by traders, entertainers etc.

NOTE: Professional Security Services provide after-dark gate control, so this is a daytime only role

Site Services

Site Services looks after:

  • Placement of tables, chairs, bins etc.
  • Consumables in showers, toilets etc.
  • General maintenance around the rally site

Traders Area

Looking for a job in the Trade....ers Area?

Traders Area Volunteers:

  • assist with set up/pack up of the Traders' Area
  • provide general assistance to the Trader Coordinator

UCARF Ticket Sellers

Help boost our Annual UCARF Raffle ticket sales!

UCARF Ticket Sale Volunteers:

  • are friendly & sociable
  • like sitting down to work
  • sell raffle tickets for the annual U.C.A.R.F. (Ulysses Club Arthritis Research Fund) Raffle

Volunteer Office

Volunteering to help Volunteers

 

Volunteer Office Volunteers:

  • help members & guests to sign in/out for their shifts
  • distribute yellow vests, hats, sunscreen & water before shifts start
  • do both clerical and face-to-face work
