Summit Housing & Outreach Programs is a charitable organization providing housing and case management support to individuals living with mental health challenges across the Halton Region. Our Health and Wellness Program offers social recreation opportunities including a variety of leisure activities for consumers of mental health services. We provide a safe space with programs that are led by a team of dedicated staff, peers, and volunteers, many of whom are peers themselves.
Our volunteers play an important role in helping us create a welcoming, supportive, and inclusive environment for individuals who may experience mental health or/and addiction-related challenges. By joining our volunteer team, individuals can contribute in meaningful ways and help foster a sense of community and connection, supporting program’s goal to reduce isolation and strengthen wellbeing of our clients, while also gaining new skills, building social connections, and finding a sense of purpose through their involvement.
