Summit Housing & Outreach Programs is a charitable organization providing housing and case management support to individuals living with mental health challenges across the Halton Region. Our Health and Wellness Program offers social recreation opportunities including a variety of leisure activities for consumers of mental health services. We provide a safe space with programs that are led by a team of dedicated staff, peers, and volunteers, many of whom are peers themselves.

Why Volunteer With Us?

Our volunteers play an important role in helping us create a welcoming, supportive, and inclusive environment for individuals who may experience mental health or/and addiction-related challenges.

By joining our team, you’ll make a meaningful impact while growing personally and professionally. Gain experience in mental health and social services, build new skills, and form lasting connections within a supportive community. We’ll support you every step of the way with role-relevant training, cover all required documentation including Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC), and can provide reference letters to support your future goals. This is more than a volunteer role—it’s a chance to make a difference.

Apply today and start your volunteer journey with Summit—we look forward to welcoming you!
