Ashcombe Garden Volunteers - Simonsbath

Get involved with the Simonsbath - Ashcombe Garden Volunteers.  This lost Garden was designed and started by John Knight in the early 1800's but never finished.  The garden represents one of the last Picturesque landscapes in England but it’s original vision was never completed. Traces of garden terraces, bridges and paths remain, but very little is known about the overall plan for the gardens.

Plans are now being made to uncover and restore this landscape and Exmoor National Park Authority is looking for volunteers who want to be involved in this work.

as the project develops there will be different focuses of activity from practical ground work, planting, through to historical research and ongoing maintenance of the garden.
