Pioneers Project - Devil's bit Scabious Planting Driver Farm
Planting several thousand Devil's-bit scabious plants at Driver Farm, near Simonsbath. These plants are great food source for the Marsh Fritillary butterfly, which we have plans to reintroduce at Driver in the next few years. One of the UKs rarest and most threatened butterflies, the Marsh Fritillary is now mostly restricted to the west of Scotland, Northern Ireland, south and west Wales, and the southwest of England, with a few scattered populations elsewhere.
