3.1 Tree planting, seed collection and tree Nursery work - Tree Planting - Mount Pleasant, Simonsbath
Join us for a tree planting day as part of our Exmoor Pioneers Project.
We will be planting around 200 willow saplings on the slopes above the River Barle. The trees will be going into 5m square fenced enclosures and are part of efforts to help slow the flow of water off the smaller streams that feed the Barle and create additional habitat for wildlife.
No experience provided. All tools provided. This tasks involves working on sloping ground and the walk in is over uneven ground.
Facilities: Toilets are available at Ashcombe car park.
Please bring a packed lunch & drinbk with you.
Meet at Ashcombe car park, Simonsbath for 10am, from where we will ferry people to site. Free parking permits will be provided for you to use for the day.
