3. Practical Tasks - Communities for Nature Days - North Hill

Join us on the last Tuesday of the month for our communities for nature days on North Hill, Nr Minehead.

North Hill is a great place to explore all year round, with woodlands, fantastic coastal views and amazing wildlife. Our activity days offer an ideal way to help with a few light practical conservation tasks (and some heavier ones, if you like), whilst meeting new people, helping the environment and going for a walk.

We will base ourselves around the old Radar Station, which provides shelter if the weather turns.  Our Autumn & Winter tasks including clearing small patches of scrub to maintain viewpoints and provide varied wildlife habitats.  Summer tasks are likely to focus on wildlife surveying and keeping paths clear. Along the way we'll be happy to help to teach you how to identify wildlife and teach you some practical skills.

The plan is to run these days on a regular basis on the last Tuesday of every month.

All tools provided. Please bring warm, waterproof clothing and wear sturdy footwear. Please bring a packed lunch too.

Meet at 10am on North Hill (free parking). Transport is also available from Minehead for those without access to a car. Please text the day before if you require a lift - 07973 727469.
