2. Education / Outreach / Event Support Volunteers - National Park Centre Activity Assistant Lynmouth
ROLE DESCRIPTION
Main Activity: Providing a warm welcome, information and orientation service for visitors to Exmoor and assisting with events and activities.
There are two main areas we are looking for extra help during the summer season:
- Providing information, orientation and advice helping visitors to get the best experience of the National Park
- Interact with visitors, offering help with equipment, explanations or further information to enable them to get the maximum from their visit.
- Check that the activity areas are clean, tidy and adequately stocked. Replenish as necessary.
- Interact with visitors to explain/help with interactive displays.
- Helping with groups, activities and special events
- Promotion and publicity; website, emails, posters, distribution of flyers etc.
- Help setting up and running events and activities.
- Examples of activities could include running a storytelling session, helping with the craft and activity table in the school holidays, helping serve teas and coffees after talks, delivering a short introduction to the flood disaster film in the theatre to our visitors.
Location: Lynmouth NPC
Exmoor National Park Centre, Lynmouth.
Time Commitment: A regular commitment of time is preferred but ad hoc contributions are welcomed to help with summer holiday activities.
Duration: Can be ongoing during the main season
