Himalayan Balsam pulling work parties

• Join local volunteers and national park staff to pull the highly invasive Himalayan Balsam.  You’ll walk areas of the river Exe searching for and pulling up the shallow rooted plant.  Once pulled up we’ll pile them up in open areas.
• Bring lunch and a drink
• Wear long trousers and long sleeved shirt.  The nature of the plant means we sometimes have to walk through long vegetation.  wellingtons can be useful to access river side sites.
• a walking stick can be useful for rough ground and getting through vegetation
