VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY: CAFÉ VOLUNTEER WANTED! Do you love meeting new people, keeping busy, and being part of a friendly team? We're looking for enthusiastic Café Volunteers to help create a welcoming experience for our visitors and potential adopters!
Shifts Available:Monday to Sunday | 9:00am - 1:00pm
(And if you're enjoying yourself, we're happy for you to stay a little longer!)
1 volunteer position available per dayWhether you're looking to build confidence, gain hospitality experience, develop customer service skills, or simply give back to a great cause, this role could be perfect for you!
No experience? No problem!Previous café or customer service experience is preferred, but full training will be provided. All we ask is that you bring a positive attitude and great people skills.
What you'll be doing:
Serving customers at the register and handing out pre-packaged food Bringing orders to tables Clearing and cleaning tables and dining areas Refilling the drinks fridge and snack stand Washing dishes Labelling and dating pre-packaged food Completing rubbish runs Helping with other general café tasks as needed
Ideal for people who:• Enjoy interacting with the public
• Want hands-on hospitality experience
• Are confident, friendly, and reliable
• Like staying active and busy during their shift
Please Note:• This is a NON ANIMAL HANDLING ROLE and is focused on hospitality and customer service.
• Due to limited space within the café, we are unfortunately unable to accommodate volunteers requiring support workers at this time.
• Volunteers must be able to commit to one shift per week for a minimum of 3 months, to account for time invested in training.
