KQED Volunteer COVID-19 Safety & Wellness Measures

This volunteer opportunity will be on-site and volunteers will follow our safety and wellness measures to mitigate the spread of COVID-19.

Please review these measures prior to signing up for an assignment. In the event that requirements shift, volunteers will be notified prior to their volunteer assignment. While masking mandates locally and on the state level have shifted, KQED is still continues to require the following:

  • All volunteers and staff on-site will be fully vaccinated and will provide proof of vaccination. Full vaccination is defined as completion of the two-dose regimen of Pfizer or Moderna vaccines or one does of the Johnson & Johnson (Janssen) vaccines, plus the current recommended booster dose for the individual's age cohort.
  • Volunteers and staff will provide current contact information to expedite contact tracing in the event the need arises.
  • Volunteers and staff will wear well-fitted masks while indoors and in public spaces such as The Commons, public restrooms, and the lobby. We currently ask that N95, KN95, or surgical masks instead of cloth masks be worn at events, and we can provide these upon request.
  • Our organizational visitor precautions are outlined on KQED's Plan Your Visit page.
  • Due to changes in staff protocols, you may observe KQED staff without their masks in some parts of the building.
  • If volunteers observe people not adhering to the public masking policy, they should inform a KQED staff member or security immediately.
