The role of the Volunteer Patient Visitor is to support patients admitted into a ward and embraces the highest principles of customer service. The volunteer must always be polite, courteous, patient, helpful and understanding in assisting patients and visitors as required.

The Concierge Wayfinding volunteer is often the first point of contact for Epworth patients and visitors. The role embraces the highest principles of customer service, with volunteers providing information, support and guidance to patients and visitors. A Concierge Wayfinding volunteer must always be polite, patient, helpful and understanding in assisting patients and visitors. Concierge Wayfinding volunteers are required to be available at a central location/s (determined by the hospital) to greet/support patients and visitors as they first enter the facility.
The role of the Wig Salon Volunteer is to offer high levels of customer service by discussing the patients needs for the day, assisting patients with wig fitting and wig choices and informing the patient of wig care and providing wig education thoroughly.
