In-Person Gilda Greeter

A Gilda Greeter is often the first person someone with cancer or their family members talks to at Gilda's Club Minnesota. They are the first impression of our program. Gilda Greeters welcome members into the clubhouse, manage light administrative tasks, tidy the clubhouse, and occasionally do other tasks.

These positions have shifts scheduled for Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. The shifts are released in 12-week periods, coinciding with each new calendar period (January-March, April-June, July-September, October-December).

Greeters can start at any time during each period.

  • In-person Gilda Greeter shifts are typically 2-4 hours long. In person, Gilda Greeters welcomes members, signs them in for classes, and works on various other tasks.

Note: You MUST complete in-person Gilda Greeter training before signing up for a shift. Your shift will not be confirmed until the training is complete. Contact the Administrative and Volunteer Coordinator via email to talk about your interest in becoming a Gilda Greeter and find a time to complete the training.
