Medical Advisory Board
Role Description:
- Provide thoughtful leadership in up-to-date cancer care and delivery
- Recognize, support, and promote the importance of the psychosocial component in cancer care
- Become a spokesperson on behalf of Gilda’s Club Minnesota within your own organization, association, and/or network.
- Refer people with cancer and their families to Gilda’s Club Minnesota for support, education and lifestyle services
- Provide visionary direction on current services we offer or recommendations for prospective services
- Participate in formal educational sessions as subject-matter experts within your specialty field, or alternatively, refer another expert from your organization or specialty
- Attend the Medical Advisory Board meeting three times a year.
- Promote the financial support of Gilda’s Club Minnesota, either through a personal gift, or by circulating Gilda’s Club mission to individuals or organizations with the interest and capacity to support Gilda’s Club Minnesota financially.
- Provide your biography that comprises educational background, degrees achieved, professional society membership, or any other relevant information that may be used for future promotional materials.
Skills:
- Recognition as a leader in the field of cancer care and or research
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to generate support, either financial or as a referral source in support of GCMN programs
- Experience creating and or participating in educational sessions in your field of study that can be delivered to GCMN members
