Behind-the-Scenes Opportunities - Garden Volunteer
The Forest Agency of Japan began advising people in the 1980s to take strolls in the woods for better health. This practice is known as forest bathing, or shinrin-yoku. Since then, there has been a large body of research on the benefits of spending time in nature. The benefits are psychological and physiological.
Support your health and make a difference at Gilda’s Club Minnesota gardening at the clubhouse. We have a variety of garden spaces for members to enjoy, and it takes a lot of work to make them gorgeous. Whether you are a master gardener or a novice, you can make an impact.
As a garden volunteer, you will maintain the gardens around Gilda’s Club Minnesota by weeding, planting, and replanting, while expanding your knowledge of nature and making connections.
Seasonal: spring and summer as needed, typically meeting on Tuesday mornings.
This volunteer opportunity is open to all, including current members of Gilda's Club. Your well-being remains our priority, so please feel free to participate only if it feels right for you. We value your commitment to your health first, and appreciate any time you choose to give back.
