Help create Gilda's Club Minnesota's signature fundraising event while making a meaningful difference for Minnesotans impacted by cancer.
The Gala Committee is a collaborative team of volunteers who work alongside staff to shape the vision, experience, and success of our annual Gala. Whether you enjoy brainstorming creative ideas, improving the guest experience, organizing details, or leading a project from start to finish, there's a place for you on the team.
Committee members can participate in a variety of ways—from sharing ideas and helping with planning discussions to taking the lead on a specific area of the event. Staff will provide guidance, resources, timelines, and support throughout the planning process.

Planning Committee Members

General committee members play an important role by:
- Sharing ideas and perspectives throughout the planning process.
- Offering suggestions based on experiences at other galas, fundraising events, or community gatherings.
- Helping identify opportunities to improve the event year after year.
- Inviting friends, colleagues, and community members to attend.
- Connecting Gilda's Club Minnesota with potential sponsors, auction donors, and supporters.
- Assisting with select event-day activities and other one-time volunteer opportunities.
Every perspective helps us create a more meaningful and memorable event.
Time Commitment: The committee meets monthly beginning in the fall, with meetings becoming more frequent as the Gala approaches. Committee members also contribute outside of meetings based on their level of involvement and participate on Gala day.
