Volunteer Driving - Volunteer Driver

Volunteer Drivers are individuals who provide transportation to H-N REACH service participants. Destinations may include appointments, groups and various activities. The destinations may be throughout Southern Ontario although primarily in Haldimand and Norfolk. The drivers are responsible to arrive safely and on time at the scheduled destination. All drives are arranged on an as needed basis based on employee requests and service participants needs. Drivers will be reimbursed for approved expenses at $0.54 / km.

Qualifications:

•       Criminal & Judicial Matters and Vulnerable Sector Record Check & Children’s Aid Society

•       Declaration/Release

•       Possession of a valid G driver’s licence, $2 million vehicle liability insurance, clear Driver Abstract and use of a vehicle

 

Time Commitment:

•       Available to work flexible hours including evenings

•       Volunteers provide availability and drives are assigned based on what is provided

•       A minimum of a 6 month commitment is required.

  • Confidentiality Agreement Must be at least Completed
  • Copy of Driver’s License Must be at least Completed
  • Drivers Abstract Must be at least Completed
  • Police check Must be at least Completed
  • Proof of 2 million dollars liability Must be at least Completed
