Volunteer Driving - Volunteer Driver- Ride Along

Volunteer Driver Ride Alongs are individuals who accompany Volunteer Drivers in transporting H-N REACH service participants. Destinations may include appointments, groups and various activities. The destinations may be throughout Southern Ontario although primarily in Haldimand and Norfolk. The drivers are responsible for arriving safely and on time at the scheduled destination. The Ride Along’s role is to provide support to the driver and the participant as needed.  All ride alongs are arranged on an as needed basis based on employee requests and service participants needs.

Qualifications:

•       Criminal & Judicial Matters and Vulnerable Sector Record Check & Children’s Aid Society

•       Declaration/Release

 

Time Commitment:

•       Available to work flexible hours including evenings

•       Volunteers provide availability and drives are assigned based on what is provided

•       A minimum of a 6 month commitment is required.

 

Qualifications Required

  • Children's Aid clearance Must be at least Completed
  • Confidentiality Agreement Must be at least Completed
  • Interview Must be at least Completed
  • Police check Must be at least Completed
  • Reference checks Must be at least Completed
